My advice to you would be to do some searching around and make sure that you find a guide that offers a full preview video of the actual fix so you can see how complicated it looks.
It should also show the fix being carried out on the real Xbox 360 so you know that it is genuine.
Lastly make sure that it comes with a full guarantee and you should be fine!
